FINALLY, I watched the movie Burlesque in Ann’s house tonight.
And to be honest, I found it slightly cliche, but still, it was a nice movie. What I loved most about it though was the dialogue. It was filled with words that I felt touched a spot in my heart. And by the time the movies was over, I was even more sure than usual that dancing was what I wanted to be doing my entire life. It’s in my blood; in my very bones.
Cut dance away from me and I’ll die.
And then there’s the time when Ann and I were talking over dinner. We were discussing everything from uni life, to what we want in life, to friendships.
And it was then that I concluded; that the people who stick by you through thick and thin, the people who are there for you when you’ve hit rock bottom, and not make up some sorry ass excuse to not being there for you; the people who readily lend a helping hand or shoulder to cry on without expecting anything in return but your happiness, THAT is a real friend.
Not some sorry ass person who always makes excuse whenever you need them, but comes to you when they want something from you. And seeing this, I couldn’t be more sure of my two best friends: Ann and Lika.
As long as I have them both with me (besides my family, of course), I’m good.
