Ok, so some of you may know that I’ve always kinda been interested in Astrologies and Horoscopes and such.
I mean I don’t like, live by it or anything, but I still find it interesting and let’s face it; it doesn’t take much to keep me interested, does it? swt
So I came across this simple astrology blog, and I decided to post one short entry regarding my horoscope on certain matters. Don’t worry, I’ll just post my horoscope and attach it with the link so you can go see yours if you’re ever interested… So I don’t make this post too heavy.
Ok, so here goes:
Virgo likes Austin, but Boulder, Colorado, suits them as well. The Virgin feels best in an urban environment, but still close to a wide open landscape. They want to be able to get out and garden, hike and be among nature whenever they feel like it. They love to be near the mystical forces of the earth, and to feel that solid ground under their feet.
Well yeah, I DO love open landscapes. ^^
And whaddaya know, there’s also a Harry Potter Astrology! lol
(August 23 – Sepember 22)
The Vestal Virgin. Mutable, earth, yin – planetary ruler: Mercury. Keywords: “I ANALYZE”
Virgo is the sixth sign of the zodiac and governs the nervous system and the intestines. Positive traits include a keen intellect, attention to detail, imagination, politeness, disciplined work habits, realism, practicality, skepticism, organizational skill, curiosity, and modesty; negative traits are anal-retentiveness, anxiety, hesitation, an inability to see the forest past the trees, insecurity, and obsessiveness.
This is not a natural sign for Gryffindor, but some Gryffindors do end up born under the influence of Virgo. They are hard workers and usually very bright; they tend to be more ethically obsessed than most. Some Virgo wizards are also sorted into House Gryffindor because of their amazing imaginations; on the surface they may appear straight-laced and almost nervous, but inside is a wealth of romantic yearning and fantastic excitement. They quietly build dream castles in their minds; and the practical influence of the Earth element means that they, unlike more flighty signs, may have some chance of building those dream castles on solid foundations.
Hufflepuff Virgos are incredibly hard workers and bright, if quiet, students. They excel at any magical arts related to domestic life or healing. They must be watched carefully to ensure that they do not overstress their systems by performing too much work; these wizards have a very hard time learning the meaning of the word “no,” and are thus easily taken advantage of for their work ethic. Let other people do the leading and the decision making; they are content to serve. And on their backs rests the industry of the world. Without people like them, civilization might grind to a halt, for who would take care of the practical details?
Ravenclaw Virgos are skeptical, analytical, mathematically oriented, and sharp witted. Many become great magi, alchemists, and astrologers. These people love ideas and theoretical discussion, and their leaps of intuition can be uncanny. The Earth element makes them shrewd and pragmatic, and keeps them from flying off into cloudcuckooland.
While these Slytherins might not be the most outgoing of their class, they are often among the most wise, and their canny observation and lightning-fast analysis of any given situation will take them far. Often behind that quiet mien hides the mind of a big dreamer, who had both the imagination to come up with a concept and the power to follow it through. These Slytherins are an interesting mix of politeness and politics, pragmatism and intuition. They make good alchemists, Ministry bureaucrats (well, somebody’s got to do it), and academic advisors. They are often underestimated. This is most unwise.
Well then… I guess I’m a Hufflepuff through and through? =p
From a #Virgo:
Decent, hard working and frugal Virgo starts thinking about gifts early on and possibly making some of them him/herself. Virgo never forgets anybody.
To a #Virgo:
Being conservative, Virgo won’t be happy if he/she finds an indecent present from Santa’s gift bag. Bath & spa sets, table cloths and shawls make nice gifts. Also, glass, leather and wool are preferred materials.
Practicality is the most important keyword. Anything that has something to do with his/her hobbies and activities will be gratefully received. A wonderful gift idea would also be something antique.
Virgo is a quiet, practical and precise who likes to take notice of details. Herbal cosmetics, herbs, self help books are suitable gifts for Virgo. Since he/she often suffers from neck and back pain, a buckwheat pillow, massage oil or a voucher for a massage could be considered.
Bright patterns make Virgo’s head hurt, so prefer beige tones when wrapping the present.
Color: grey and dark blue
Summary: A leather briefcase or Filofax would make good presents. Gift certificates for a facial or manicure would also be well appreciated. Books are likely to be well accepted by both sexes although you may be better off buying non-fiction as opposed to fiction.
Ehh.. I don’t think I’d fancy the buckwheat pillow and massage oil very much though.. And I wouldn’t mind any colour wrapper.. Really!
Virgo is a detail-oriented organizer who separates the whole into parts for greater understanding. However, they often get lost in the details and lose sight of the bigger picture. Pisces focuses more on the whole and is a great visionary, seeing how all the pieces fit together. The downfall of Pisceans is forgetting important details and losing themselves in the grand picture.
Both Virgo and Pisces can be more effective by recognizing the need for understanding details to see how they fit into the whole. Virgos can get so caught up in achieving goals that they forget the vision. They can be too practical, narrow, and pessimistic in their thinking. Pisces can be too dreamy, getting lost in fantasies.
There is a need for both to be practical and have focus, while still using their imagination to keep the vision alive.Virgo‘s overly analytical mind can block the intuition that flows easily through Pisces. Virgo can use discipline and purity of mind to reach higher states of bliss, while Pisces can use perception to tap into these higher realms.
Pisceans can learn from Virgos how to be more realistic and practical, how to bring dreamy visions into reality, how to use keen discrimination, and how to discern their own thoughts from those of others. Virgos would do well to accept themselves and others more, and to learn compassion (Pisces).
My opposite sign is Pisces. All I can say is… IRONYYYYY~~
Virgo calls in a Feng Shui expert to make sure they’ve got their blonde-wood bed in the right position. They call in a carpet cleaner to keep their white wall-to-wall carpet clean. They have a mood expert choose the curtain’s colors. The Virgin likes everything ship-shape, which is why they may go with a nautical theme.
Well… I wouldn’t call a Feng Shui expert… Unless.. well, something goes wrong or something.
Virgo and Pisces will be concerned about hurting someone who was once close, and will think evasion is their best course of action — hoping their partner will take the hint and make the split themselves.
Kinda true.. though the irony of being paired up with a Pisces again…
Lurking behind your perfection is … even more perfection! You carry yourself with such dignity, it’s no wonder your fellow Virgo Sophia Loren still looks so amazing. You have an incredibly well-regimented beauty routine, and your natural dedication to small details keeps you looking so stunning. You pride yourself on keeping up appearances, and delight in cosmetics that withstand the test of time and trends. You are motivated to present the ideal female image, and your beauty comes from your reverence of perfection and beauty itself, as well as your pure-minded yet realistic attitude toward life.
Uhh.. Ok, so this is not really true.. I mean sure, I DO care about appearance, but I’m not THAT obsessed with them… I think.
Spend a day in the nooks and crannies of your home, dusting high and low, vacuuming those hard-to-reach spots and bleaching that stained grout. When you’re done, come up with a scheme that helps you get your junk drawer together. Then celebrate your tidy tasks with a Cool glass of your favorite beverage.
Oh GOD *no ! O_O (though I wouldn’t mind the beverage…)
Ok, so after these rather.. few astrology sections, I’ve kinda gotten bored. wtf
Or maybe I’m just tired…
