Ringing in the New Year

Don’t worry, I won’t be writing some lengthy post about resolutions.

As I mentioned in my previous post, resolutions are not my ‘thing’. But hey, if it works for you, whatever floats your boat, man.

And I realise that I’ve also been a day late this year in posting this up. Well truth is, while I do feel somewhat ‘renewed’ by my goals, the changes I plan to make this year are gradual; it’s a slow (but sure) process. Maybe that’s why there was no immediate inspiration? (If that even makes sense… >< )

So far since then, I’ve been trying to evade ill thoughts towards others, and so far, I’ve been successful. Sure, I’ve found my mind wandering towards the danger zone a few times, but I just shook my head and thought of something else. And thank goodness, that seems to work so far for me.

photo pinkhover-happyy-stop.gif I’ve also decided that I will try my best not to sweat the small stuff. I dunno if it’s just me being a virgo, but I admit that I do tend to over-react to things that, as I think about it later, turns out wasn’t such a big deal after all. ^^;; Perhaps while I’m on it, I should try to allow a little spontaneity into my life as well. While it DOES do good to plan stuff beforehand, some stuff just can’t be planned.

In other words, I think I’ll try to loosen up a little.

photo pinkhover-happyy-stop.gif Also, I want to meet more people and socialize more. Doesn’t matter how, I just wanna get to know more people. It’s got to the point where I know that I do have a few close friends, but they’ve all gone their separate ways, and until I go out and make more friends and get to know others, I’ll probably eventually be left with no friends at all here.

photo pinkhover-happyy-stop.gif Ah~ and this one, I’ve decided to change after hearing from many sources, both direct and indirect. This year, I will spend my money wisely. Not saying that I have a lot, rather, I’m saying that I will try not to be so obsessed with paying back my loans that I forget to spend my money on some ‘me time’.

Honestly, I’ve been so diligent on paying back my loans that I must admit that I’ve sort of lost the ‘fun’ in life, for the most part. That isn’t to say that I will start spending more.

Oh no.

Just saying that I’ll enjoy a bit more than I did last year. ;)

Of course, there are other little areas that I plan to better myself in too, but it’s the little things, and that I will not write here for fear of boring my poor readers to death.  grrrrrr

Anyways, here’s wishing a

Happy New Year        to everyone!!

  1. There is nothing wrong with putting the whole NYR (new years resolution) to the side. I know I did…:D I think I just didn’t know what my resolove was for the New Year. But then I realized it was something I had with me since 2013. To just continue with all I have worked on and keep moving forward in life. Not sure if that is a real set goal. But it felt right.

Besides, one should look towards change, realization, but only act when they feel ready to. Sometimes it can be too much of a pressure to ourselves to do things we really aren’t ready are up to do. It’s usually much healthier and conducive to feel that natural ambitions to aspire for whatever one’s new resolve maybe.

It’s still good that you are moved to list 3 bullet points. Already you are showing recognition of something — anything you wish to change up. That’s great! But most importantly. Do what feels right. If it makes you happy go for it.

    Happy New Year! <3

    1. You’re absolutely right! I never thought of it that way, but you’re right.. in a way, you gotta be prepared for the change. ^^
Happy New Year to you too hun! ^^
