Funny how life works sometimes, doesn’t it?
Truth be told, I’m still having a hard time digesting what happened.
Because usually, such good luck tends to avoid me. Usually, all I ever tend to do is dream about such an instance.
But it is true.
He took me to the beach, as we were there on the last day before he left about a year and a half ago. He brought me to the bit of beach by Hyatt, hugged a bit (which was nothing unusual), and then he turned to me and told me seriously that he actually had something to say.
He brought out the ring box and got on one knee. All I ever kept saying was “Are you serious??”
I bawled. He asked those four questions I had been dreaming about hearing since I met him.
“Will you marry me?”
He later told me he was so nervous, and was glad I said yes.
LIKE I WOULD HAVE SAID NO DAMMIT. I’D BE STUPID TO SAY NO.
I just wish my grandfather would have been here to witness it. He might have, actually, in heaven. But how I wish he was here in person to see all this.
So I officially have a fiancee. And a DOWNRIGHT GORGEOUS ONE if I do say so myself.
Stewart, you have NO IDEA how happy you’ve made me. <3 And there are no words in the world to tell you how much I love you.
